Music at Grace Presbyterian Church

GPC’s witness through music is central to our congregation’s heart.  If you share in this form of worship, we invite you to share with us through any (or all) of the opportunities listed below.   We give God the glory through:

  • Adult Chancel Choir -- The chancel choir sings for the 11:00 a.m. traditional worship service each week, as well as providing special music for other occasions as requested.  Practice is each Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.  The annual Easter and Christmas cantatas are particularly exciting.
  • Joyful Chimers Chime Choir -- The Joyful Chimers enjoy music and fellowship as they prepare musical offerings for presentation throughout the church year during Sunday worship services or other special programs.  This group practices on Sunday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and welcomes newcomers.
  • GPC Praise Band -- The GPC Praise Band provides uplifting and exciting praise worship music, including some original works, for the Sunday contemporary service.  Guitar, drums, flute, and other instruments liven the atmosphere and "make a joyful noise" unto the Lord.
  • Orchestra -- The orchestra provides music for special occasions and is composed of individuals from the congregation who are interested in providing music as requested, but particularly at Christmas and Easter.  This group is always looking for new members.
  • Instrumental/Vocal Ensembles such as trombones, french horns, recorders, and vocal soloists and groups enjoy providing special musical offerings throughout the year.
